Intercultural sessions for children and young people with a background of migration
What are intercultural sessions?
The intercultural sessions look at improving the medical and psychosocial care of children and young people with a background of migration. Our staff and our treatment concepts take account of your specific culture and religion and are intended to meet culture-related needs at all times. Our mission statement is: "Noticeably better care for children and young people with a background of migration!"
Are you worried about your child's development...
... because he or she has health problems?
... because he or she has language problems?
... because he or she is having problems at school or is marginalised?
If so, we'd like to get to know you. If you and your child's doctor feel that a multi-professional team of experts at the kbo-Kinderzentrum München could help you further, please get in touch with us.
In addition to the wide range of services offered by the kbo- Kinderzentrum München, we can offer you specific assistance with the following problems:
- Speech development disorder with multilingualism
- Mental problems because of social marginalisation or cultural differences
- Significant illness that frequently occur in the country of origin
- A different appreciation of health and recovery
- We also offer interdenominational pastoral care.
Would you like to learn more about your child's problems in your own language?
We offer patient information about medical and psychosocial symptoms in a range of languages.
Do you not understand the doctor or psychologist?
We have a list of languages showing the many different languages that members of our staff team speak. If there are language problems during treatment, we can organise a translator in your language for you.
